Hope - Tim Costello - Book Launch & Signing

Tuesday 16th October 7pm

Tim Costello, CEO of World Vision Australia book reading and signing to celebrate the UK launch of his new book Hope.

Tuesday October 16th, 7pm, Oxfam Marylebone. Tim will give a short reading from one of the stories from his new book followed by some questions about his life and work. He will then sign copies of Hope.

Tim Costello’s latest book Hope is a collection of inspirational stories that he has collected over his life, often in the most dramatic of circumstances. As the CEO of World Vision Australia, Tim has travelled to some of the poorest places in the world, often in the wake of devastating conflicts and natural disasters. The stories in this book are tales of the discovery of light amongst darkness – from learning about the golden coat of merit in North East India to watching Hugh Jackman plant coffee trees in Ethopia.

Tim Costello is the head of World Vision Australia, a charity that fights poverty and injustice. He is the founder of Urban Seed, a charity that deals with homelessness and drug addiction in Australia. Tim travels the globe taking part in debates on social justice issues as diverse as global poverty, gambling, homelessness, reconciliation and substance abuse.
